Job Title:  Playtime Toilet Monitor

Applications invited from: Year 5 and 6

Job Description: To monitor the outdoor toilets on the playground at break and lunch, and write down the names of anyone forgetting to flush, messing around or leaving cubicles messy

Time commitment: 1 break or half a lunchtime, once or twice a week depending on how many applicants we get

Employer: Mrs Tearle

Person Specification: You will be very sensible and enjoy making a difference to the school. You will be reliable and will remember to monitor the toilets on your day. You will be confident to remind people about making good choices.

 

 

 Job Title:  Toilet Monitors

Applications invited from: Years 4, 5 and 6

Job Description: Once a week after break or after lunch, take a form from the leadership office and check the toilets, record any issues on the form and return to Mrs Tearle

Time commitment: 15 minutes once a week

Employer: Mrs Tearle

Person Specification: You will be sensible and reliable, someone who notices details and who wants to help improve the school

 

 

Job Title: Assembly Computer Leader

Applications invited from: Year 6

Job Description: You will arrive before assembly to turn on the hall laptop and projector and get the assembly slides running. You will ensure the correct music is playing and get the Head Teacher Stickers out ready.  You will run the slides during the assembly, and turn the computer, projector and speaker off afterwards.

Time commitment: Monday and Friday afternoon from 2.30

Employer: Mrs Hixon

Person Specification: You will be confident to use technology and be able to remember the things to do each week.  You will be able to solve problems and use your initiative. You will be reliable and punctual.  You will be extremely sensible at the front of the hall.  You will be able to complete the tasks required in your lesson quickly, or catch them up later that day, so that you do not miss out on learning while you are doing your job.

  

 

Job Title:   Office Assistant

Applications invited from: Year 6 only

Job Description: Distribution of letters etc to classrooms, General help where needed

Time commitment: Half an hour on a Friday afternoon

Employer: Mrs Prince

Person Specification: You will be a friendly, helpful person who is confident to talk to anyone. You will have excellent manners. You will be reliable and punctual. You will respect the privacy of office conversations. You will be trustworthy, and able to move around the school quickly but sensibly.  You will be making good progress in class, so that your teacher is happy for you to miss a bit of learning while you are doing your job.

 


  Job Title:   Infant Reading Buddy

Applications invited from: Year 5 and 6

Job Description: To read with some infant children once a week. To encourage them and praise their efforts

Time commitment: 2:45 for 15 minutes, twice a week

Employer: Mrs Lubbock Smith 

Person Specification: You will be a confident reader. You will be calm and kind. You will be someone who completes their learning tasks on time.

 

 

Job Title: Pond monitor

Applications invited from: Anyone

Job Description: Staying in the pond area at break and lunchtime to make sure children are behaving respectfully. Writing down the names of anyone not making respectful choices. Hi-vis jackets provided. 

Time commitment: one break and one lunchtime

Employer: Ms Corrigan

Person Specification: You will care about the environment and want to protect the pond.  You will be confident to tell people to make good choices. You will stay focussed.

 

 

 Job Title:   Infant Playground Buddy

Applications invited from: Year 4, 5 and 6

Job Description: Helping to run playground games at lunchtimes. Helping Team Spirit to run sports games on the astro turf

Time commitment:  12:00 - 12:40 every day

Employer: Mrs Gregory and Team Spirit

Person Specification: You will be energetic and enjoy talking and listening to younger children. You will be able to take the lead.  You will be able to think of games to play.

  

 

Job Title:   Infant Colouring Club Buddy

Applications invited from:  Year 6

Job Description: To sit with some infant children and colour with them.  To talk about Zones of Regulation with them

Time commitment: 12:40 - 1:00 every day

Employer: Mrs Gregory

Person Specification: You will be very calm and sensible. You will enjoy helping others. You will enjoy colouring!

 


  Job Title:   Assembly Helper

Applications invited from: Year 5 and 6

Job Description: Preparing and clearing the hall before and after the whole school assembly.

Time commitment: Break and lunchtime, one day a week.

Person Specification: You will be reliable, efficient and well-organised. You will have a good memory so you remember to come down in time. You will be able to move chairs sensibly and safely

 

 

Job Title: Playground card fetcher

Applications invited from: Anyone

Job Description: Collecting the year 3,4,5,6 coloured cards from the hall and delivering them to adults at the end of playtime and lunchtime

Time commitment: one break and lunchtime

Person Specification: You will be reliable and have a good memory. You will be observant and able to spot where people are. You will be able to keep an eye on the time.

 

 

Job Title: Repair & Rebuild helper

Applications invited from: Year 4, 5 and 6

Job Description: Helping out with Repair and Rebuild as needed on the junior playground at lunchtimes

Time commitment:  lunchtimes – days to be decided

Employer: Mrs Deakin

Person Specification: You will be friendly and approachable. You will be curious and be able to listen to others. You will be able to let the children you are helping make suggestions, and not take over unless it becomes necessary.

 

 

Job Title: Junior playground games leader

Job Description: Leading small games on the Junior playground at lunchtimes

Time commitment:  lunchtimes – days to be decided

Person Specification: You will be friendly and approachable. You will be a creative problem solver who can think of games and solve problems as they occur. You will be able to keep the games safe

 

 

Job Title: Bookshelf monitors

Applications invited from: Anyone

Job Description: Tidying the year group book shelves in the corridors

Time commitment:  Once per week in an afternoon to be decided

Employer: Mrs Davie

Person Specification: You will be organised and enjoy tidying. You will love books and want to look after them. You will be reliable.

 

 

Job Title: Quiet Hut monitors

Applications invited from: Anyone

Job Description: Looking after the Quiet Hut during lunchtimes: bringing resources out, helping children use them, tidying them afterwards, reporting any issues.

Time commitment:  One Lunchtime per week

Employer: Miss Peck

Person Specification: You will be organised and will have a good memory. You will be reliable and will be happy to help tidy. You will be approachable and able to work with other children.

 

 

Job Title:  Paper delivery

Applications invited from: Year 4, 5 and 6

Job Description: To carry parcels of photocopier paper up to the resources room from the office in the Infant school

Time commitment: 30 minutes after lunch every Tuesday

Employer: Mrs Colligan

Person Specification: You will be sensible and friendly. You will be able to carry things safely, looking where you are going. You will be reliable and be able to remember your job. You will be trustworthy and able to walk in the corridors to keep yourself safe.
