At Shirley Junior School, we are proud to serve children aged 7-11 in the heart of the Shirley area of Southampton. Belonging is at the very heart of everything we do. Hamwic Trust: Jeffery's Education Partnership
Shirley Junior School joined the Hamwic Education Trust (HET) in 2018. The aim of the Hamwic Education Trust is to establish self-improving school systems by creating local Partnerships of schools where School Leaders take a collective responsibility for student outcomes.

OPAL- Outdoor Play and Learning
We are very excited to this year be launching a new play project to make our playtimes even better, following a programme called OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning). Through this approach, we aim to improve opportunities for physical activity, socialisation, cooperation, coordination, resilience, creativity, imagination and enjoyment through improved play.
Young Voices 2026 - LEGENDARY!
43 members of our Shirley Junior School choir travelled to the London O2 to take part in a truly awesome choir event - Young Voices. What an awesome day!
