Shirley Junior School is a 3-form entry junior school situated in the Shirley area of Southampton. We are a vibrant community of learners who are dedicated to being the best we can be. We aim to ensure that no matter a child's starting point, all children make the progress they deserve and feel that they belong, achieve and thrive.

Our Governors play an active role in the life of the school, working closely with leaders to drive improvement. They provide both challenge and support, using a wide range of information to accurately evaluate the impact of leadership decisions.

Shirley Junior and Shirley Infant School staff teams collaborate to ensure smooth transitions and excellent progress from Year R through to Year 6. We are also proud to be part of the Jefferys Education Partnership (JEP), which belongs to the wider Hamwic Education Trust, a multi-academy trust committed to excellence in education.
