Dear parent/carer

Southampton City Council have informed us of a critical weather warning from tonight.

In preparation for this, Shirley Junior School will be closing to all from 3:30pm today.  This will allow all staff to return home safely in the daylight and the site team to prepare the safety of the building.

All afterschool clubs are cancelled today Wednesday 1^st November 2023.

Please collect your children from the school site by 3:30pm at the latest today.

Shirley Junior School will also be closed to all on Thursday 2^nd November 2023.  The children will either have homework in their planners/bags for tomorrow or this will be set on google classrooms.

We anticipate the school will re-open on Friday 3^rd November 2023 unless we inform you otherwise.

We would also like to inform you that the PTFA/FOSIS Firework event planned for Friday 3^rd November 2023 will now be postponed. Further information will follow.
